History
Built in 1906, our store will take you on a nostalgic journey to a simpler time with its stained glass windows, marble countertops, tin ceilings, and hand painted murals. We remain family owned and operated, offering old fashioned customer service and truly handcrafted products that we take pride in making.

A Must See in the Slate Belt Area
In 1906 the Wright Brothers were granted a patent for their flying machine, and Great Britain still ruled 20% of the world. In this same year, a young Greek immigrant dreamed of opening his own candy store.
After receiving loans from chocolatiers Milton Hershey and Stephen Whitman, he moved to a town with no candy store- Bangor, PA- and established a candy making legacy that continues to this day. Many things have changed since 1906, but that candy store in Bangor, PA has not. Chocolates on Broadway creates delicious artfully crafted candies in small batches, perfectly packaged for any occasion.

Fun Fact
In the original candy-making days, a total of approximately 40lbs. of candy was made daily since each piece was hand-dipped. Today, although much is still hand-dipped, the addition of much-needed machinery has increased the daily production total of between 500 to 600 lbs.
